- C — 80° rhombic
- Second letter: clearance
- N — 0° normal clearance
- Third and fourth letters
- Tolerance class and insert type / features. They do not identify a supplier-specific grade or chipbreaker.
Size, thickness, corner radius and supplier-specific suffixes complete the purchasing reference. Send the full designation from your existing insert box or drawing.
